Fiber Hosting Imaging

What is Imaging?

  • Fiber Hosting Imaging is a backup service provided to our clients, which takes a full image of your server. This keeps all the data exactly the way you left it.

How long does it take?

  • Our systems will transfer approximately 2.00 GB per minute, but a faster transfer can take place depending on hard drive specifications.

Image Backup Size?

  • If you have about 30 GB of actual data the backup will size will be around 12 GB.

Does this system store empty blocks?

  • No, our system will not copy the empty blocks on the disk. It will only write the actual data on the server and compress it.

Is this service secure?

  • Your data cannot be recovered by downloading the image file and trying to mount it. The imaging server itself is shielded from the public internet and has limited access to our network.

Is there a client side panel?

  • No, there is no client side panel at the moment. We are working to develop one in shortly and should be available soon.

Will I be able to keep more backups than what you have listed?

  • Yes, we do sell additional backup space by 10 GB increments. You can contact sales for a direct quote, or talk to the rep that handled your order.

Are all Operating Systems supported?

  • Yes!

Is RAID configuration supported?

  • No, it is not currently support at the moment. We do have plans to support it in the near future.
