How long is the normal setup time?

• Our setup time does verify depending on volume of orders. The normal time can be from 30 minutes to 48 hours.

What should I do if I don't see the Operating System I want?

• Please notify admin@fiber-hosting.com with the OS you would like. We are able to install custom OS's, but there will be a delay in setup time.

Am I able to install the servers myself?

• Yes, with Fiber Hosting's provisioning system we can provide client side install access.

Will it require me to have special software installed?

• You must have Java runtime environment installed.

Is there a delay in setup time if I do it myself?

• Yes, there will be a delay due to setting up KVM access.

I don't want to do it myself, but can I tell you special packages?

• Yes, please notify admin[at]fiber-hosting[dot]com with the packages you would like.

Can I change partition layout?

• Yes, notify admin[at]fiber-hosting[dot]com with the partition layout you would like.

Are installs done manually?

• No, most of the time installs can be done remotely without waiting in line. Installs can still be done by hand if requested (Some fee's may apply).

What can I do to change my current OS to a different version?

• Notify admin[at]fiber-hosting[dot]com with the new OS you want.

Is there a charge for changing OS versions?

• No, there is no charge for reloads.

What changes if I select different server specs than the generic listing says?

• Your server will be setup with the generic specs that is listed on the site. Then we will put in the service order for hard ware replacement. Before the new hard ware is placed in the server we will image the current setup. That way no data is lost and everything is just the way you left it.

What do I do if I get an email saying hard drive is out of stock?

• You can start setting up your system with the settings you need. We always order packages with over night shipping or 2 day shipping. Once the hard drive comes in we will image the server and replace the hard ware. There will be no data loss during the process and downtime should be less than 30 minutes.
